October 31
No snow for the Halloweenies this year. It’s brown and dry instead.
A cold front is forecast to sweep down out of the NW at 40kts this evening, perhaps kicking up some dust around treat time for the goblins on the north end of the foothills in Grande Prairie, then push across here around midnight. Envirocan calling for -2 tonight so it shouldn’t be too frosty for the kiddies here. We were forecast to hit -11C last night but only got halfway there. Coldest so far is -6.2C on the 27th.
I’ve started putting together a Pine Lake tornado page to add into a “major events in Alberta” category and have been scanning some photos we took of the damage on the east side of the lake. Green Acres campground can be seen across the lake, on the west side.
