Alberta Foothills Weather

November 9

We had a chance for 2-5cm of snow last night/this morning, or a bit of freezing rain, or a few ice pellets, but we got bupkus.
Not a drop or a flake anywhere around here. A cold southeast wind for the past 12 hours has now changed to a warm southwest wind, with temps jumping from the freezing mark at 11am, to +12C in a few hours.
Still nothing terribly exciting in the long range forecast.
I am not the only one looking for a dump of snow. This long-tailed weasel with his winter coat on sticks out like a sore thumb against the parched grasses and tilled fields he has to deal with. It’s a wonder some hawk or owl hasn’t found him yet.
