Still waiting for the first rumble..
Lots of pretty popcorn out there today and some nice crisp towers for a few hours early this aft, but it was not warm, with a frosty northeast wind most of the day. A few spots of rain here and there, mostly to the east, what fell out of the clouds around here evaporated before it hit the ground and by 5pm everything was in full collapse mode. Still unsettled for tomorrow and Thursday, but warmer, so hopefully we can at least get a good shower to rinse things off. We did get our first smattering of rain for ‘08 last night, but not enough to measure.
White swans and Snow Geese have arrived for the annual pit-stop on their way to the arctic. Not hard to tell when they are around, you can here them for miles. I’m sure the coyotes are happy to see them back too.
Once again, the skies cleared off 20 minutes before the International Space Station made a pass at 9:30 this evening. Tonight the ISS was joined in the sky by a slender crescent moon sitting atop the Pleiades star cluster. Nice Treat!
