RCMP called it in apparently.
Wasn't a very big cell, but it lasted a while and certainly had some rotation in it.
Ahh to be in Tx right now with some of those big ol supercells
Maybe things will start to fire around here this week as it warm up

What a day for southern Manitoba! Tornado warnings, and a confirmed Tornado!! Beautiful start to the season. No injuries or anything reported so that's good.

Not that I don't enjoy a good rain, but this is getting crazy! Unfortunetly I have a job that when it rains, I don't work! Anyhoo, I am kinda glad for the rain since it will send everything growing here when we get some sunlight again. Anyone hear any rumbles of thunder in the showers we're getting?

Nice! Like you said before, a billion dollar rain. Farmers must be dancing.

<a href="http://kamala.cod.edu/Canada/latest.focn45.CWWG.html" rel="nofollow">From the PASPC</a>:
THE MAIN WEATHERMAKER TODAY IS AN INVERTED TROF OVER ALBERTA EXTENDING FROM A DEEP LOW OVER COLORADO/WYOMING. MOISTURE CONTINUES TO STREAM NORTHWESTWARD FROM THE CENTRAL USA INTO ALBERTA, WITH SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS OVR SOUTHWESTERN AB.
OVER SOUTHWESTERN AB WE HAVE SEEN RAINFALL RATES OF 4 MM/HR LEADING TO THE RAINFALL WARNING. RAINFALL HAS CURRENTLY DIMINISHED TO 2 MM/HR HOWEVER, ADDITIONAL SHORTWAVES AND MID-LEVEL MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO PUMP INTO THE AREA THROUGH SATURDAY. THIS EVENING AN AREA OF CONVECTION IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AND INTENSIFY THE SHOWERS MOVING INTO SOUTHERN ALBERTA. TOTAL RAINFALLS IN SOUTHERN ALBERTA WILL BE NEAR 100 TO 140 MM.

That is a lot of rain.
Rivers should be busy next week.

wow, that was a stark reminder of what can happen?? Aftere 2.5 days of straight rain in Airdrie my trusty little rain guage reads a total of 56mm or 2.25 inches. Getting prettey depressing out there. I couldn't handle Vancouver.
