September 11
Another week of completely unexciting weather around here.
Today was the first time we got close to 20C since August 29, making it to 20.4, which is about normal for this time of year. The rest of it has been mostly below 15C, about half and half sun and schmogg.
Amazingly, we have not been below zero yet, even though there has been some type of frozen matter on the car windows a few times over the past week. Lot of flowers still blooming away and the lawn still looks like July. Starting to see a bit of color out on the road in the poplars but you have to look for it. The lack of heat has put the crops around here back a bit, still some green showing thru in the barley and wheat in places, canola is just starting to be cut.
Looks like a nice weekend on tap after we get past tomorrow, the PASPC forecast this aft mentioned the possibilty of a few flurries for the west after a cold front slumps down during the day. Some thundersnow would be fun.
A few photos from the past week, starting with the most interesting natural cloud of the week, some of the flowers in the yard that think it’s June, and batch from the Innisfail show ‘n’ shine + 100 foot shootout/ burnout/ smokeshow last Sunday. The best clouds of the week came from raw horsepower and rubber on asphalt.
