Alberta Foothills Weather

Nothing very exciting here since the last post. We picked up 2cm of the white stuff yesterday morning, and things warmed up nicely this afternoon, almost hitting zero here. Still not enough snow to break out the cats for a test spin, and it doesn’t look like we will be getting much more in the next week. Maybe a sprinkle on Monday?

I still haven’t found a photo of the giant Sitka spruce after the crash, but have been reading a lot about the destruction caused by the storm of last weekend. Incredible flooding, wind damage, mudslides… they really got it down there. The following shots are from the Washington and Oregon State Depts. of Transportation, just a small sample of all the excellent photos out there. Many more photos here and here.
