Alberta Foothills Weather

June 10 – Inches of wet

66mm or 2.5 inches from midnight Wendesday to noonish today. However you measure it, that is a lot of rain in one shot for us. Add on another 10mm from Tuesday night and we are past 3 inches. Add the 25mm from Monday and over 100mm we go. 4 inches in 4 days.
There are puddles in places they haven’t been for years, lots of standing water in the fields, the duck ponds are full, and the potholes are growing faster than dandelions. A high streamflow advisory was issued yesterday for the Red Deer and Medicine rivers yesterday, the Medicine has come up about 4 feet but the others seem to have handled the extra flow without rising much.
Now for some heat. There is supposed to be some for the weekend, I will believe it when I feel it.
